Jessica & Zack's wedding at the Bibb Mill was on a sunny May day a few hours south of Atlanta. The lush, green backdrop for the whole day was a great reflection of how joyful the entire day was. The couple was surrounded by close friends and family, who were ready to celebrate them the entire day.
A surprising piece of inspiration for this wedding: color! Color found its way through the gallery organically. From the beautiful wallpapered walls in the historic home where Jessica got ready, to the lush greens watered with April showers, the entire day was incredibly vibrant. Instead of being brought in, the color felt natural and organic to the environment, like we were always meant to be there in a beautiful garden.
Each second was enveloped in love from close friends and family members. These relationships playing out were a small representation of the life that Jessica & Zack have built together.
The moments playing out in these relationships were a huge source of inspiration for the photos. As a result, we documented so many candid moments between loved ones.
A standout moment from this wedding was the ceremony. Instead of doing a first look, Jessica & Zack chose to wait to see each other until the ceremony, where they got married by their brother-in-law.

Because there was so much beautiful light, we were able to shoot so much film to document this wedding. Film allows for so much beautiful imperfection in light and texture, which gives us permission to not be perfect ourselves. The images feel timeless and relaxed, exactly what it was like to be in the room.
