Katy and Lawton’s wedding weekend in Savannah was full of the kind of beauty that lingers, not just in the details, but in the feeling. Thoughtfully designed by Tara Skinner Events and set in some of Savannah’s most iconic locations, their celebration was equal parts elegant, joyful, and deeply personal.
The weekend kicked off with a welcome party in Forsyth Park, right in front of the famous fountain, just after dark. Twinkle lights, live music, and the soft glow of the city made it the perfect start to the weekend. Photographing that energy, friends arriving from out of town, hugs, champagne, all beneath the Spanish moss, was such a treat.
Their wedding day began at the Perry Lane Hotel, where Katy and Lawton shared a quiet breakfast and exchanged private vows. It was an intimate moment that felt grounding and intentional. From there, we made our way to the Harper-Fowlkes House for their ceremony, surrounded by lush gardens, historic charm, and the people who love them most.
Every part of the day was beautifully layered. Classic Savannah architecture, modern design details, and a warm, welcoming energy that never let up. It was a true honor to document a weekend so full of connection, joy, and meaning in one of my favorite cities.
