Savannah, Georgia Editorial at the Alida Hotel

filed in:

This bridal editorial at The Alida Hotel was the perfect mix of elevated style and relaxed, boutique charm. Set in the heart of Savannah and shot in collaboration with the incredibly talented Lauren Norton Beauty, the day felt like the dreamiest pre-wedding moment, champagne included.

We started the shoot in one of The Alida’s stylish suites with a getting ready vignette: robes, bubbly, and soft, luminous makeup that kept everything feeling fresh and effortless. Lauren created a bridal beauty look that was refined but relaxed, which was perfect for a modern bride getting married at a chic city hotel.

Once our bride was dressed, we moved throughout the hotel, capturing portraits at the lobby bar, in the lounge spaces, and outside along the Savannah River. The mix of textures, warm wood, velvet sofas, vintage lighting, made the perfect backdrop for film photography that felt editorial but still full of life.

If you’re planning a wedding weekend in Savannah and love the idea of a boutique hotel with personality and great light, The Alida is such a gem. And if you’re looking for timeless, relaxed portraits in a modern setting, I’d love to help you bring that vision to life.

I'm inspired by my relationships with my high-school sweetheart husband, and with my three younger sisters, by antique stores and great music, by watching  great tv and movies or an underdog win a sports game, and most of all by the persistence by which we choose to celebrate together and love each other well.

I'm Maggie, a Georgia-based photographer specializing in documenting weddings along the east coast. My mission with photography is to help people fall in love with the imperfect moments, and see those moments as art. Noticing these things are what help us see each other better.
