Winter Wedding at the Chattahoochee Country Club

filed in:

Sally & Frank married on a rainy December day on the lake in North Georgia. Sally got ready at the house she grew up in, alongside her sisters and close friends. Miraculously the rain let up for the two hour window we needed to take photos in. The moody sky provided a romantic backdrop for their winter wedding, and brought in a bit of holiday vibes.

Their ceremony was at Grace Episcopal Church, followed by a lively cocktail hour and reception at the Chattahoochee Country Club. Christmas lights adorned the entire wedding, but the holiday spirit amplified when reindeer antlers and Santa hats were passed out.

Sally & Frank were dream clients for me, so kind and gracious throughout the entire process. On our consult call, Sally and I talked so much about the relationships with our families. It was incredibly important to her (and me) to photograph those relationships authentically and beautifully. I think we accomplished that, and were so grateful to put this gallery together.

I'm inspired by my relationships with my high-school sweetheart husband, and with my three younger sisters, by antique stores and great music, by watching  great tv and movies or an underdog win a sports game, and most of all by the persistence by which we choose to celebrate together and love each other well.

I'm Maggie, a Georgia-based photographer specializing in documenting weddings along the east coast. My mission with photography is to help people fall in love with the imperfect moments, and see those moments as art. Noticing these things are what help us see each other better.
